Click on the game board to start. The pieces you will be laying are on the right hand side. The piece at the bottom of the stack is the next piece you are going to lay.

The goal is to lay enough pipe to meet the minimum amount of squares specified at the top of the screen. So, if the requirement is 10, the water must flow through at least 10 squares to advance to the next level.

If you are in a real bind, you can destroy pipe you've already laid if there's no water in it yet. Destroying pipe comes at a high cost of points however.
