AC/DC, "Back in Black" /
1980
Review by: Brian Giffin
The triumph after the tragedy. Back in Black was the album which broke AC/DC into the international major league with its crisp production, thunderous chugging riffs and ear-splitting shrieking vocals of singer Brian Johnson. Recorded a mere six months after the death of former singer Bon Scott, Back In Black dominated the charts worldwide for over a year after it was released. The most complete AC/DC album to that time without a dud track on the list. Still a matter of conjecture as to whether the lyrics to "You Shook Me All Night Long" were written by Scott or Johnson, though!
9 out of 10.
