Associates, "Sulk" / 1982 Review by: Nanoman
Probably the best singer of the 80's and one of the most original and underrated bands that ever was. The Associates' third album is a genuine classic. It sounds dated but also timeless. Strange music, layered, atmospheric, claustrophobic, moody but also catchy...and that voice is absolutely stunning. This is the album that gave them 15 minutes of fame with songs like "Party fears two" and "Country Club" but there are more treasures to be found on this masterpiece!
