To put it simply, this is the ultimate pop album. It is anchored by the song "Somewhere in My Heart," which, of course, is the ultimate pop song. That is to say, the pop on "Love" is so pure, with so few distracting influences from rock, wave, funk, etc., that you have to hear it to believe it. Plus, the songs are all beautifully written and arranged. You can probably do better than this, but you have to try really, really hard.
