Berlin, "Count Three and Pray" /

This is Berlin at their best. Although only "Take My Breath Away" hit the pop charts (a number one song on Billboard ) the album is full of so many songs that had potential and received airplay on some of the more flexible radio stations. "Like Flames" is a good example of a song that received a fair amount of video airplay but failed to hit the charts. It should have. This song and the track "Will I Ever Understand You" are both hard driving and thought provoking. Mix that with the well written lyrics and steady beat of "You Don't Know" and the soulful and seductive "Pink and Velvet" and you have one of the better albums of the decade. This album convinced me that had Berlin remained together as a band, they very well could have achieved supergroup status
