One of the most hauntingly beautiful albums I've ever heard. While on the one hand she makes Susan Vega sound upbeat and chipper, she also infuses into her music a sense that all is not lost, that there is always a chance.

Her sound to me is distinctly a european blues. In fact, that's where I first heard of her, and where she was quit a hit in the very early 80's.
