Iron Maiden, "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" /
1988
Review by: MURLEY
After a decade of mucking about, conquering the world and all that nonsense, Maiden decided to get their bloody 'eads together and end the decade of bloated self indulgence with a simple morality play. The album's title track serves as a superb centerpiece with 7 other slabs of pure art revolving and evolving about it's fringe. A poor devil is the chosen one, and from what I can figure he ends up doing himself in. Poor bugger. Maiden's magnum opus. Here are the songs ranked from best to just good: Seventh Son, Infinite Dreams, The Evil That Men Do, The Clairvoyant, Only The Good Die Young, Can I Play With Madness, Moonchild, The Prophecy
