James, "Stutter" / 1986 Review by: Aidan Cross
This is an amazing and sensational album that marked the powerful debut of one of Britain's finest bands, James. It is full of powerful, frenetic tracks that you can completely lose yourself in, taking you to the furthest reaches of insanity and back again. The frenetic rhythms of the songs combined with the intriguing and at times obscure lyrics make this a wonderful album to listen to at times when you just want to completely lose it and release your most intense emotions. Of particular interest is the live favorite "Johnny Yen" with its classic lyrics about the exhibitionism of a tortured rock artist. A surefire classic.
