Japan, "Adolescent Sex" / 1978 Review by: Reshma
I didn't know what to expect from Japan since I'm not old enough to remember them, but once I heard David's voice I knew that I would be playing this non-stop. At times he sounds like (yes) Johnny Rotten, but otherwise his voice is really sexy in a rough scratchy way and he creates an atmosphere with his thick English accent.

The mix of disco and rock on this album is surprisingly good. Who knew *I* would own an disco/rock album?!? I love all the songs, but the two that stand out to me are "Suburban Love" and "Television". Both are very passionate, but the passion comes from different angles. The instrumental parts on these songs are really well done. This is one album I'll be groovin' to when I'm 80!
