Kate was only 16 when she signed with EMI, and they certainly got a talented artist. Kate Bush had an eight octave range, and her haunting voice coupled with her ghostly diminutive figure made the "Wuthering Heights" video truly a remarkable one especially considering the song was released in 1979. The original piece is the better one, as the new vocal on "The Whole Story" doesn't quite hit the shrieking that made the original so hauntingly addictive. Pat Benatar did justice to the song, by the way, in a remake of the song, on the ""Crimes of Passion album.
