Madonna, "Like A Virgin" / 1984 Review by: Bryan
"Like A Virgin" is one of the best sellers in history, boosted by huge crossover singles, including great pop songs that became so much a part of teenage culture including the title track and "Material Girl". It also includes the other less memorable singles, "Angel" and "Dress You Up". The album presents fine pop songs like these and the club track "Over And Over". Otherwise, the rest of the album is made up of mediocre tracks like "Shoo Bee Doo" while the ballad "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" are just tame compared to the faster tracks in the album, which were wisely released as singles.
