Madonna, "Madonna" /
1983
Review by: Patrick
Madonna's first album, this of course broke her onto the pop scene. The catchy opening track, "Lucky Star" was the biggest hit off the album, peaking at no. 4; but it was the infectious b-side lead off, "Holiday" that made her a star and continues to receive airplay to this day. "Holdiday" "Lucky Star" and "Borderline" were the singles, though "Burning Up" and it's video were released yet were undeserving low acheivers. "Everybody" was a major dance hit and the remaining three, "I Know It" "Physical Attraction" and "Think Of Me" were the only bad tracks. Worth every moment.
