Madonna, "The Immaculate Collection" /
1991
Review by: Bryan
This has got to be the best 80's album to surface in the 90's. "The Immaculate Collection" features Madonna's biggeest 80's hits remixed and edited to give you 75 minutes of those hits. A critic's favorite, it is a retrospective of Madonna's constantly evolving career from the early gum-chewing urchin years of "Borderline" to the 1990 dance floor hit "Vogue", an evolution of style and dance music. In between, we get all the 80's hits, presented in Q Sound, including "Like A Virgin", "Crazy For You", "Into The Groove" and "Papa Don't Preach". "Into The Groove" is included in a shortened format for the first time on any American album. All the tracks are remixes of the originals, which are superior, except for the two new tracks, "Justify My Love" and "Rescue Me". If there's one Madonna album to get for the 80's hits, it's this one.
