Marillion, "Seasons End" / 1989 Review by: Geoff Ritchie
The first album following the departure of Fish, new boy Steve Hogarth showed he wasn't filling anyones shoes but was his own man with a great debut performance. The first single,"Hooks in you" was an out and out rocker which put some of the more popular "hard rock bands" of the time to shame.

Hogarth sings from the heart on songs like "Easter" and "Seasons End" and the band proves what class musicians they are with virtuoso performances throughout the album.

This is the album that turned me into a fully fledged Marillion freak and is a perfect introduction to the band for those who have not heard the classiest band in the world. Do yourself a favour. Check it out.
