Nitro, "O.F.R." / 1989 Review by: Brian
This CD is a must for the Glam aficionado. Far from bubblegum, NITRO is full of all metal influences. Singer JIM GILLETTE has an amazing vocal range (not unlike MICHAEL SWEET from STRYPER). The guitars are heavy, and often frenetic – most especially on ‘BRING IT DOWN.’ It has a very cyber sounding production and would appeal to genuine Heavy Metal fans as well as lovers of their image – which let’s face it – is almost too good. They give a whole new meaning to BIG HAIR. Poison might just lose their crowns!
