N.W.A., "Straight Outta Compton" / 1988 Review by: Cthulhu

Want to hear rappers flow at ten syllables per second, for thirty seconds, without taking a breath? Want to hear the original song about cop-killing, which has harsher beats than most metal songs? Want humorous tracks that will leave you in stitches? From the slamming opening song; to unflinching looks at police brutality, drug abuse, gang violence and relationships; to tour-de-forces of sheer rapping skill, this is one of the best hip-hop albums ever created.

N.W.A. is, of course, the band comprised of Eazy E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and M.C. Ren. This is probably the best album they've ever released.
