OMD, "Dazzle Ships" / 1983 Review by: Albert Bush

This is a fine, complex and rich album that is suffused with OMD's trademark fascination with technology. Unlike most of "Architecture and Morality" (think here of the sappy "Souvenir" and the Muzaky variants on "Joan of Arc"--and note that there is no such song as the "Waltz of Jean d'Arc"), Dazzle Ships challenges and rewards the discriminating listener.

All in all, this is a great album that deserves significant respect. Along with Junk Culture, this marked the high point in OMD's career.
