Ozzy Osbourne, "Diary of a Madman" / 1981 Review by: Michael Rohm
This was a landmark album in heavy metal history, much like Blizzard of Ozz. It starts off powerfully with "Over the Mountain," and after that it's just great song after great song. The hit "Flying High Again." The aptly titled "You Can't Kill Rock n' Roll." Both "Belever" and "Little Dolls" show some real maturity in both writing and the music itself, and "Tonight" is my absolute favourite Ozzy ballad. "S.A.T.O." is also a great tune, and coming in last, but certainly not lest is the epic title track, which is probably one of the best album endings I've ever heard. Wow... This is a perfect Ozzy CD. No duds, all killer songs.

10 out of 10.
