Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Uplift Mofo Party Plan" / 1987 Review by: james butlin
The uplift mofo party plan is an album of difference moving away from the normal grooves and punk, it combine excellent harmonys while expressing a very strong sexual energy. The albums highlights are Backwards which is a simple yet enjoyable genre splicing song and `Me and My Friends`, the song with many meanings. Also on the album is `secret special song inside`. This song was a ground breaking song as it was one of the first sexual song not to use innuenndo just straight to the point lyrics. Overall this album is one of the most enjoyable and sadly Hillel Slovaks` last new contributions to the funkiest band for years!.
