Sheena Easton, "The Lover in Me" /
1989
Review by: Stacey Schraut
Sheena Easton closes the eighties with her strongest effort yet. Gone are the soft romantic ballads replaced by hard-edged R&B. Sheena Easton is one of a very few artists with the ability to change musical styles, while maintaining chart popularity. This album boasts such gifted (and popular) producers as L.A. & Babyface, Prince, and Angela Winbush. Album highlights include
8 out of 10.
