Toyah, "Minx" / 1985 Review by: paul johnson

This is the album that Toyah attempts a cover of School's Out, the Alice Cooper classic. Minx isn't the most outstanding of toyah albums but shouldn't be overlooked.

Vocally it is interesting, Toyah's voice is very strong through experience, though suffers from being a little over produced.

America For Beginners and Space Between The Sound presenr slower, almost haunting vocals. All In A Rage is fast and lively.

Don't Fall In Love(I Said) and Soul Passing Through Soul are the two clasic singles released from Minx. A third World In Action is unremarkable but was made into an interesting 12 inch remix.
