Kicking off with the hit single "nobody's diary", this record burnt itself right into my heart from the first time listening! This was the first album with a perfect mixture of melancholy and dancable tunes - every song filled with gorgeous hooklines. And all of this with an (at that time) state of the art electronic sound. Vince Clarke doing the electronics & Alison Moyets dark and powerfull add up to one of my all time favourites!
