    Masquerade has a great 80's night on Thursdays. Mostly new-wave/alternative. If you sign up for e-mail at their website, you'll be sent an e-mail every Wednesday with the codeword for free cover charge.

Radio Show

  • 80s at 8 - Atlanta, GA
    B98.5 WSB-FM, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. weeknights, Besides its occasional Big Eighties weekends, the morning show, Kelly and Alpha, will play all 80s songs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Big Eighties Weekend - Atlanta, GA
    B-98.5 (WSB-FM), all weekend. More or less every other weekend, this a/c station goes 80s--or about 60% 80s--they still throw in some currents and recurrents. No Vanilla Ice here but they do play a wider variety of pop stuff than you'd here on Star94's Friday Night Eighties or on the alt-rock station, 99x. They'll throw in Hooked on Classics, along with a variety that includes Huey Lewis, Debbie Gibson, Flock of Seagulls, Milli Vanilli, George Michael and Olivia Newton John. No hard stuff from Run DMC or GNR and no way soft stuff from Air Supply or Bette Midler.
  • Duplex of Retro Pleasure - Atlanta, GA
    99x WNNX-FM Atlanta, noon to 1 p.m. weekdays, 99x as of Jan, 2000, has dropped its Resurrection Sunday from noon to 4 p.m (new decade) and has added early 1990s alt-rock hits to its House of Retro Pleasure from noon to 1 p.m. on weekdays. Audience gets younger so 80s gets shorter shrift. No surprise, eh?
  • The House Of Retro Pleasure - Atlanta, GA
    99.7, It's on from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm during the week. Resurrection Sunday is on from 12:00-4:00 on Sundays. The 80's shows they do tend to be more new wave than pop. Steve (the dj) does a great job. He plays a wide variety of songs with a smattering of old punk and most recently brought back an 'it came from the 90's but sounds like the 80's' bit. He talks about the artists, has a birthday segment as well as a 'this day in history' segment. It also has a 'Big Hair Scare' song at about 3:15 p.m. by a band like Warrant or Ratt or Poison.
  • True - Atlanta, GA
    Star-94, Friday, 5 p.m. til about 3 a.m. in the morning. The show truly runs a potpourri of 80s tunes from Pretty Poison to Poison, from Greg Kihn to NKOTB. Vanilla Ice and Tone Loc, too! It's mostly upbeat songs, no wimpy ballads from Elton John or Patti Austin or Toto. For some reason, they like to play Lou Gramm's Midnight Blue.
  • The MAJIC 102.9 80's DINER - Gainesville, GA
    MAJIC 102.9/WMJE-FM, 12pm-1pm Monday through Friday, MAJIC 102.9's 80's DINER is hosted by Becca Brooks and features a lot of artists forgotten, one-hit wonders, big-hair bands and a real flavor and feel for the 80's. This highly successful and sold-out show has been on the air for 3 years at MAJIC 102.9.
