- 10. purple rain by prince
a knit of funk and rock, a heavily stylized hendrix guitar lick here and there, and a wilfully danceable blackbeat all made for a huge commerical smash, and the first real international introduction for many people to a star-in waiting. funky as hell.
- 9. born in the usa by bruce springsteen
wots really interesting about this album, is that each song portrays such a meaningfull issue, but at the same time, delivers such powerful rock singles. this maybe one of the best eighties albums, however the title track has to be the best eighties anthem. superb.
- 8. lets dance by david bowie
bowie chucked his early glak rock look in the early eighties and produced a great album, lets dance. aside from that, the seventies were really david bowies best decade, none of his albums after let's dance really measure up to his earlier efforts.
- 7. whitney houstan by whitney houstan
also the best peice of work whitney has ever produced. smooth, soulfull and very sexy.
- 6. genisis by genisis
vocally, this album is deffinatley the strongest piece of material phil collins has ever delivered. exactly what you would expect from a very talented band.
- 5. bad by michael jackson
sometimes, Bad is bad. but mostly, Bad isnt bad, Bad is bad. which is good. Bad is the perfect commercial follow-up to thriller (not only the worlds biggest selling lp of all time, but one of the best). this album contains avaried collection that has such a healthy handful of fantastic hits, including SEVEN no.1 singles. magic.
- 4. the works by queen
fab album. contains hard rock beats and unlike their album previous, 'hot space', it has few politically charged tunes. great stuff.

every breathe you take............this album is sex...........

not only one of the best albums of the 80's but the BEST u2 album of all time.

WHAT A LEGEND. PROBABLY THE GREATEST PERFORMER OF ALL TIME. THIS MAN HAS DONE SO MUCH FOR THE MUSIC INDUSTRY, AND THIS ALBUM.........JUST EXCELLENT. THE BEST.
I NEVER REALISED HOW HARD IT WOULD BE TRYING TO CHOOSE THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE EIGHTIES, AND MANN DID I HAVE A HARD TIME COMPILING THEM! WELL I THINK THE DESICION WAS DIFFICULT, HOWEVER I THINK I MADE THE CORRECT CHOICES! EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF MY DECISIONS.......DO YOU AGREE?

the best release of the Maidens, i can´t listen this incompletely...if i start with the first song, i don't left it till the last!
- 2. Appetite For Destruction by Guns n´ Roses
the first record i had, i passed a whole summer listening it avery single day, all day...and i still liking like the first time
- 1. Defenders Of The Faith by Judas Priest
every damn song in this album is incredible, some of they marked my life forever

It is the number one selling album of all time. Need I say more?

Few albums have a nice crisp sound throughout, this one does

- 1. The Visitors by ABBA
Abba were the 70s band par excellence - but this 1981 Album with its title track was chilling. Anyone who has never heard the song is missing out on a pop/dance/new wavish masterpiece
"Thriller" should be here just because it was such a huge seller, and single handedly changed music forever, but this is a given... and not to forget Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac - what a comeback that was!
