The second highest selling Maiden album of the 80s, and the one that projected Maiden to go to the memorable performance at Donington.

- 8. British Steel by Judas Priest
The first album of the 80s for Priest, and a mighty good one too!
- 7. Appetite for Destruction by Guns n' Roses
The greatest, best selling album that G n' R released, and it just happens to be their debut.
- 6. Powerslave by Iron Maiden
One of the best of Maiden's so far, holding their first long epic, "Rime of the Ancient Mariner".
- 5. Pyromania by Def Leppard
The first top-selling album for The Lep and probabaly the best by far.
- 4. Tribute by Ozzy Osbourne
An album that shows the late Randy Rhoads' talent and amazing work with Ozzy up until his death in 1982.
- 3. Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
The debut album of an extremely successful band, the debut is probably the heaviest of all Maiden's work.
- 2. Screaming for Vengeance by Judas Priest
Probably the highest selling Priest album up until 1990's "Painkiller", SFV holds what is known as the most Priest hits by far.
- 1. The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden
A great impact on 80s metal, TNOTB shows us how 5 normal guys can become world-wide famous with a controversial album.
I would've also liked to put Maiden's "Somewhere in Time", Priest's "Defenders of the Faith", Def Leppard's "Hysteria" and more, but they didn't come close to being as good as the albums in the Top 10.

Another big album of this genial duo.

All songs on this album are great.
