- 3. Screaming for Vengeance by Judas Priest
the emotion...too much...devil's child is my fave jp song, all of their other albums are pitiful compared to this one...every song is beautiful...fever's good too
- 2. The Joshua Tree by U2
i get a lot of shit for liking this, but who cares! this is suhc a powerful album...there's one really underrated song...red hill mining town...it makes me think of the late 80s , like a weird dream...powerful many classics on this one

- 10. Energy by Operation Ivy
Great fun highly recommended to everyone.
- 9. Swordfishtrombone by Tom Waits
On my top ten seventies albums i forget to include Tom Waits so to do him justice I have included him twice on the 80's list(and he deserves it)
- 8. Sandinista by The Clash
At first listen this albums seems to be much inferior to the masterpiece 'London Calling' however I now consider it almost as good.

And the 90s began...
- 9. Doolittle by Pixies

- 8. Soul Mining by The The
- 7. The Unforgettable Fire by U2
U2's albums are at present (2000) hard to stomach for me, though i loved them back then. this one has remained a great listen, however. Eno's (subdued) production adds depth to the band's rock.

A little less easy to decipher (the lyrics), but big on atmosphere...

Every breath you take, King of Pain, Wrapped around your finger... this album is loaded with good music.
- 7. Hysteria by Def Leppard
My all time no. 1 heavy metal album.
- 6. The Unforgetable Fire by U2
'Pride (In the name of Love) is the biggest single from this album, but my personal choice is the title track.
- 5. The Final (Greatest Hits) by Wham
If you think George is a genius then you must have this one too.
- 4. George Michael by Faith
George is a genius and this album is his masterpiece.
- 3. Keep Your Distance by Curiosity Killed The Cat
They wrote their own songs but sadly this talented band split after 2 good albums. The single 'Down to Earth' is one of my all time fav.
- 2. The Singular Adventures of the Style Council by The Style Council
Paul Weller at his best in this 1980's greatest hits compilation. There are few compilations later, but this is still the best.
- 1. It's Better to Travel by Swing out Sister
First album by the trio. While "Break out" became their biggest single, I think the best track on the album must be "Surrender (Stuff Gun Mix)". They are still around as a duo but with the departure of one of its original member, the band sounds plain in their subsequent albums.
Thanks Chuck and keep up with your good works.
