Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

    Another classic 80's movie

The sister at the wedding has to be one of the funniest moments!

  • 10. Flashdance
I dont really think Flashdance was one of the "Best" 80s films....HOWEVER I own the soudntrack both on CD and Vinal. I love it that much! Not too metion the mock "Off the shoulder, ash grey, sweater" worn in the movie....the poster shot if you will :)
  • 9. Better Off Dead
John Cusack was a really great actor in the 80's and im really surprised and quite happy he made it (successfully) through 90's up until now even! This movie is really funny and just had a fun story line to watch.
  • 8. The Breakfast Club
Though it was a bit depressing at times, and yes most of it was dialogue that kept dragging on, it still is a great movie. It involves the Brat Pack and John Hughs, what more could you ask for?
  • 7. Ghostbusters
The idea itself of "Ghostbusters" is awesome but I think all I really have to say for this one is.... Bill Murray.... SOOO FUNNY
  • 6. Ferris Buller's day Off
Soooo funny! I could watch it 1000 x and still laugh at a larger portion of this movie!!! The commentary from Matthew Broderick throughout the film is sooo great too, it really made the film that much more hilarious.
  • 5. Sixteen Candles
John Hughs, my fave director of the 80's by far! This movie was really funny in a teenybopper kinda way. Such a typical story of unpopular girl gets the heart of popular guy, but I still adore it for what its worth.
  • 4. St. Elmo's Fire
I love this movie because it's one of the bigger Bart Pack movies. Amazing actors (at least at the time it was made lol) with a great story about friendship and how far it will take you until you have to really fend for yourself. OH AND ANDREW MCCARTHY IS GORGEOUS
  • 3. Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Hilarious!!! One of the funniest 80's movies for sure! It reminds me alot of an 80's American Pie! Just as funny and just as shocking.
  • 2. Say Anything
Honestly, everything about this movie is adorable. John Cusack plays the most loveable character ever. The story really defines first love in a dramatic way that doesn't leave you crying in the end but makes you happy that something that wonderful could really exsist.
  • 1. Pretty In Pink
This is definitly the BEST 80's movie hands down!!! I love everything about it! I find that there has been some sad attempts to re-do this story of the best friend in love with the girl who loves the popular guy....classic but John Hughs does it best! Not to mention...ANDREW MCCARTHY IS GORGEOUS
Though he didnt make it much further after the 80's (tear) I found Andrew McCarthy to be the BEST and HOTTEST actor of the 80's! And even if it didnt make my list I LOVE every single John Hughes film made!!!!
