This is a list of actors from the little and big screen, and the small roles they had before their big break. I'm not looking for what a particular actor did outside of acting, I'm looking more for bit roles and TV commercials. I think you could just write down waiter for almost any actor if you really wanted to if that were the case.

Before playing one of the teacher's of the hogwart's school in the Harry Potter films, he was known for playing the main charcter in "Willow". He also played one the Ewoks in "Return of the Jedi". He's also known for playing the main charcter in the horror film series "Leprechaun".
Wayne Knight
Appeared in small role in the 80's movie "Dirty Dancing" (camp director at Kellerman's resort; he can be seen w/a clipboard blowing a whistle at the beginning of the movie, when the Housmans drive into the resort).

She played Martin Tupper's (Brian Benben) wife on the HBO show "Dream On" in the 80's.

Played the detective searching for the tooth fairy in the original 'Manhunter', with Brian Cox as Hannibal Lector.
