Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

One the funniest and most entertaining films I'ver ever seen. Who ya gonna call...damn right!
  • 9. Always
Okay. It's a chic flick, but it's my favorite chic flick. I love Holly Hunter and this movie will get me every time. Man, she's beautiful.
  • 8. Terminator
Arnold's first and last stint as the villian (excluding any nasty clones in future films). Great story too.
  • 7. Aliens
Like "Empire", it's one of the few sequels, for me, to top the original. And Bill Paxton rules. Game over, man!!
  • 6. Blade Runner
Simple. Everyone else has copied it. And go ahead and add Roy Batty to the ultimate nasties top ten list...under Vader & Legend's Darkness, of course.
  • 5. Back to the Future
A totally fun ride. And with the trade mark De Lorean car, it tags this film as the most recognizable 80s film in the lot. Such a staple for that decade.
  • 4. Batman
Mainly for the most kick ass movie trailer responce in history. It changed the way trailers would be seen forever. Yes, I'm a trailer FREAK!!
  • 3. Legend
Tim Curry steals the show with his scene chewing performance! And, his make-up job is still the best to date. To think "The Fly" beat it for the oscar.
  • 2. Empire Strikes Back
Though Star Wars changed my life and made me want to be an actor, this is my favorite, story wise. And, the best lightsaber fight of the three.
  • 1. Raides of the Lost Ark
The best of its kind...still. It's the hat. Gotta be the hat. Come on dvd!! Don't let us down.
The decade with the happiest, most positve and upbeat music ever! Give me Duran Duran over Eminem any day!! Yea, we got the beat!!!!!!

I am a teen in the 90s, and I've noticed all the "teen movies" nowadays don't really represent us in a real way, not all of us live in two story houses and drive fancy cars. Thats what I love about the teen movies from the 80s(i.e~The Brat Pack), they are real, and show true things, like"The Breakfast Club" which shows teens in a true way, and it can represent any generation.

Because Randy is just sooo tubular!
I'd like to give honorable mention to An American Werewolf In London. To this day, it is by far the best werewolf movie out there, and nothing has come possibly close since. It didn't make it into my top ten because of my love of The Legend Of Billie Jean. But it's definitely my #11!!!
