Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

    once more....no other movie ever was about a kid getting "big" and having to make it in the city, and succeed. this movie never gets boring.

    don't be fooled, the movie ends. but if you saw this movie you wouldn't want it too. another escape from reality flick that is unique to any other movie.
  • 8. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
    take a weird ride across the country Pee-Wee style. no, not in porno theaters but basically everywhere else. this is the pee-wee everyone loves.
  • 7. A Christmas Story
    you CAN'T beat this movie during christmas time. its against the laws of physics. everybody has seen this movie and i still haven't found anybody who doesn't love it.
  • 6. Legend
    escape to another world far into the past and go on a magic journey into the underworld to fight satan.
  • 5. Labryinth
    before all of the cartoonish computer graphics, this movie is the most imaginative fantasy movie of all time easily.
  • 4. The Goonies
    everytime i see this movie i can't turn it off till its over.
  • 3. Back to the Future Trilogy
    personally i like the first one the best but they all are decent enough to be on the list
  • 2. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    Just a classic movie that everybody likes. a modern adventure in skipping school
  • 1. Indiana Jones Trilogy
    Who the hell wouldn't want to be Indiana Jones for at least a week? These movies are one of a kind that will never be duplicated by anybody else.
i've never seen the breakfast club, but its on everybody's list almost. maybe i should see it and reevaluate my list. all of these movies on my list could easily be number one in there own way. i just had to order them. any comments send to my e-mail address.

    One of the few movies that featured Jami Gertz. She was so beautiful. This is in my opinion the ultimate must have for anyone who ever grew up in the 80's

    Not as well known but a classic for Michael Keaton abd Henry Winkler.

    The best spoof movie ever made. AND DON'T CALL ME SHIRLEY!!!
  • 8. Beverly Hills Cop
    Eddie Murphy at his best. Great supporting cast.
  • 7. Top Gun
    Testosterone personified!!!!
  • 6. Return of the Jedi
    Good triumphs over evil once and for all. Jabba was an awesome Godfather to the galaxy.
  • 5. Batman
    Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, a great combination for a great action movie. No sequel can live up to it.
  • 4. Ghostbusters
    Anybody for some Stay Puft marshmallows?
  • 3. A Christmas Story
    After It's a Wonderful Life, this is the best Christmas movie ever. I still look to find a Red Rider BB gun in the store.

    Best teen movie of the eighties. My butt still puckers when that car falls to its death.

    "What side of the rainbow are we working on today Dr Lesh?" "No more." I think this is seriously one of the scariest shows ever made. It was something that is not totally "inconsevable" (lol) like friday the 13th or nightmare on elm street. Ive seen in atleast 100 times and i still am inthrawled by this movie and it scares me everytime.

You still have your brain, athlete, princess, basketcase, and crimals. Its just a really good show lol
there are so many other movies of the 80s that i love...Goonies, Stand by me. Steel Magnolias (i think that was 80s maybe im mistaken its possible.) Ghostbusters, Top Gun, Overboard, License to Drive (gotta love the Coreys, man lol) But i love the 80s movies they are seriously the best!

    I only saw it recently but i really liked it Mathew Broderik is really funny and so cute. I loved it at the end when he was like "Why are you still here? Go home" He turns around and walk's away, looks back and says "Go home." Cracked me up

    I love these films. It's so magical and so nice. I love the song The never ending story, by Limahl. I met him a while ago he is a very nice and talented man. Unlike some singers today. A great film in my opinion

    The best. Such a good film Christopher Lambert is cool. I love Queen so perticuarly love the sound track as it is nothing but Queen.
I am only 15 i love the Eighties. The films, the music, the really cute dark haired, dark eyed (in Micheal.j.Fox's case light eye's)actors "sigh". I love Duran Duran, Bonjovi, Limahl(Kajagoogoo),Queen, Wham, The Police. But i hate Depeche mode and Tears for fears i don't know why i just do.
