The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. 1984-"WOLVERINES!!!!!!!" This is a first film to recieve a PG-13 rating. "Red Dawn" is a must-see for any movie or Patrick Swayze fans. Not for kids because of profanity and a lot violence.

A great swashbuckling adventure in the tradition of old time serials. Fun and excitement.

Fine dialog, perfect casting, Rebecca de Morney's sexy call girl agains Tom Cruises' teen-age guy caught in a comidic, impossible web. Great satire.
- 8. Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 1986
Matthew Broderick makes this "enjoy life every day" tale from John Hughes a total delight. A real joy.
- 7. Sophie's Choice - 1982
The horrors of WWII told through Meryl Streeps' Sophie. A heartbreaker that gets you and does not let go. Great accents too.

One of the funniest movies of the 80's. Terrific dialog and a great cast with Kevin Kline at his comedic best.

A large statement from a simple premise, running. Great photography.

The Coen brothers' first film, a stylish, bloody webof a Film Noir with Frances McDormand and a great M. Emmet Walsh.
