Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

    This movie inspired me to try out for the school basketball team, and a life-long bench warmer was born! I cry every time.

    My step sisters dragged me to this when I was about 10 or so. Thanks girls! The best, and most original teen comedy ever. I want my two dollars!

    Before I saw the movie I read the book. It was then, in the seventh grade, that I realized hey reading isnt that bad.The movie was wonderful.The actors are sooooo hoooot.I about died when Rob Lowe came out of the shower. Mat Dillion also a super hottie. One of the coolest things about this book is it was set near were I live. Ok it's not really that close but it's still really cool.

    Does it get much better? I love it.Especially River Phoenix and Corey Feldman's characters. This is a movie I can watch every day and never get bored of. Hey, what is goofy?

    If you haven't seen the Goonies shame on you. It is perhaps the greatest movie ever made. How often do you get to see a bunch of kids in search for a pirate ship? Only thing that upset me was at the end when the ship whent sailing off. GO AFTER THE MONEY!!!By the way I'm still "wondering what is in the bag?"

    Many funny scenarios, confusion, and deception. Bill Pullman, Danny Devito, and Bette Midler are very funny. Woman wins in the end.

    Huey Lewis had a great soundtrack. Michael J's best movie. Christopher Lloyd is hysterical. "it feels like I'm kissing my brother."

  • 1. Ferris Beuller's Day Off
    "Pardon my French, but my friend Cameron is so uptight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his a** in two weeks you'd have a diamond" Just can't stop quoting the movie. I'll watch it over and over.
Not necessarily in order. Others: Real Genius, Willow, The Princess Bride, Ghostbusters, Grease, Adventures in Babysitting, Airplane. I'd probably choose different if I had been older then.

It's so hard to choose! Top Gun, Risky Buisness, and any movie with the Coreys are also great!!!! Also, if you like the Outsiders... read the book it's a lot better.

    Bill Murray is the man. You combine his talents with golf and you get one funny movie. Golf is the perfect sport to get comedy out of and this movie along with Happy Gilmore are some of the funniest ever.

    The perfect movie. This is everything the 80's represents and also my favorite movie of all time. It's like one perfectly well told joke.
I wish I still lived in the 80's. Everyone takes things way too seriouly nowadays . Life is all about having fun and I think the 80's and 80's movies represented life more accurately than movies do today. They told stories that were interesting, funny, entertaining, and moving. Today everyone's just tryin to be cool..... Just have fun.
