Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies
The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties. Also, try and avoid movies that came out after the eighties if possible, 1990 is pretty borderline, I won't scream too loudly if you add one that is from then...

- 10. Lucas
Cory Haim is adorable as the "nerd" who tries to win the acceptance of his peers. A bit of a tear jerker for some reason.

Another film that I can see again and again. Great combination of humor and horror. "They're heeere."

- 5. Gremlins

- 4. Dream a Little Dream
Deeper than your average teen flick. Explores the teen years and the golden years. Great soundtrack.
- 3. The Lost Boys
Fine cast. Puts a new, hip spin on vampire movies. Great soundtrack.
- 2. The Breakfast Club
The quintessential 80's teen movie. Very quotable. A must see.
- 1. Stand By Me
My all-time favorite film! Very talented cast. Everyone should see this coming of age film.
My list of films and the commentaries written for them are based upon my personal feelings and are not met to upset anyone. I realize that my choices are biased towards particular actors and that I neglect to mention several great films (but space is limited). Please enjoy.

Show teens of the 2000's this movie and they'll all get it. It will also still be relevant to teens in 50-100 years as well.

- 1. The Blues Brothers
