If you like Duran Duran at all, then this disc is a MUST GRAB for the best live version of "Save a Prayer" ever recorded for a legal recording. The Kate Bush and David Gilmour version of "Running Up That Hill" is also a great version. The rest of the disc is a lot of fun as well, with a great version of Peter Gabriel's "Biko" as well.
Title : This Ain't No Disco (New Wave Dance Hits) Label : Risky Business Medium : CD TTime : 51:35 Notes : Small descriptions of each group and running times Reviewer: Charles R. There's decent linear notes with it, which is nice for the bands you haven't heard before of barely remember. There's even a few remixes thrown in here (Lies, Party At Ground Zero), 99 Luftballons is the english remix, (not the German) which I really wanted (even though I still perfer the German version).

This is a party album plain and simple, all these songs were hige hits at one time in some fashion. This is also one of the few discs around that spanned more than a couple of years in the early half of the eighties. Yes, music does exist after 1985. A small portion of each disc pulls from the later half of the decade and it is by no means chronological, which is for the best really.

Good to find 'The Safety Dance', 'Brand New Lover' and 'Sister Christian' at high quality recording though.
Title: VH1 - More of the Big 80's Label: Rhino TTime: ? Notes: Chart position, date released and small write up Reviewer: Carlos Torres Paid : ? Rank : 4 out of 5. Title : World Of Dance New Wave The 80's Label : Rebound Records Medium : CD TTime : 57:56 Notes : Track Listings Reviewer: Charles R. Grosvenor Jr. Paid : $6 Rank : 4 out of 5. Track Listing -=-=-=-=-=-=- Title Artist(s) -=-=- -=-=-=-=- Relax Frankie Goes To Hollywood Venus Bananarama Something About You Level 42 She Blinded Me With Science Thomas Dolby Shout Tears For Fears Let Me Go Heaven 17 Vacation Go-Go's The Look Of Love ABC Obsession Animotion The Politics of Dancing Re-Flex Tainted Love Soft Cell Come On Eileen Dexy's Midnight Runners Comments: This disc has a great arrangement of songs and also features remixes of most of the songs which is nice (if you already have some of them on other compilations). The remix of ABC's "Look Of Love" is pretty hideous, so if you really like the radio mix, I wouldn't be buying this disc for this song in particular. However, if you like a good party disc, this would be a good cheap disc to pick up.
