Top Ten Lists of Eighties Movies

The concept is pretty easily, pick your ten favorite movies from the eighties. The hard part? I want JUST movies from the eighties, not movies you might have seen during the eighties.     John Huston films an unfilmable short story and leaves us with a validictory masterpiece on the complexities of the everyday.

    Scorsese's best film is more relevant then ever. DeNiro's character makes your skin crawl and Jerry Lewis is fantastic.

    Coppla creates a vision of time and memory, a dream on celluoid that captures the moments of growing into a man better than any other film.

    Robert Altman shoots a play with only one actor, Philip baker Hall, playing Nixon in an audacious turn that he saved our nation by betraying it. Makes Stones's later overwrought work seem puny.
