 1. Upcoming Eighties Events
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Blondie is getting ready to tour and the J. Geils reunion seems to be
still on, Peter Wolf has even commented that he is interested.

This month's edition of CMJ New Music Monthly (Aprill 1999) has a
small interview with John Hughes of "Breakfast Club" fame (and lots
of other cool 80s teen movies). He has a new movie with a teen slant
coming out this year called "Reach the Rock"

Caddyshack is being re-released to commemrate it's 19th anniversary
(don't ask me why they picked 19th) the new release will have a ton
of outtakes and interviews and promises to be pretty interesting.

For a list of upcoming albums by 80s artists, check out

 2. What's New at ChuckyG's?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

There's a cool new story that's been circulating in email lately
that is composed entirely of 80s song lyrics. If you haven't seen it
yet, check it out at: http://www.worcestermass.com/80/funsong.html
I don't know who wrote it or anything, but it does have links to
all the misheard lyrics I have with the corresponding songs.

I've also added several new pages devoted to groups that I had
previousily missed, like Anthrax and Ocean Blue, thanks to visitors
from the site for sending me the info.

Also, I'm in the process of adding pictures for all the toys of the
80s to my toys pages at: http://www.worcestermass.com/80/toys.html
if you have any pictures you can send me, I would appreciate it, I
haven't been able to find any pictures of outdoor toys yet.

And finally (wow, busy month!) I've added a new classifieds
http://www.worcestermass.com/photo/classifieds.cgi
that isn't as popular as I would have hoped, but I'm sure it will
gain in popularity with time. It's totally free, so if you're
looking to sell off your Duran Duran posters or something 80s
related, feel free to check it out.

Robert Palmer, "Addictions Vol. 1"

Usually when a big name like Robert Palmer (or Robot Palm-oil as my
friends like to call him) releases a greatest hits album it means two
things, the artists career is dead, and the only thing to make it to
the disc are the biggest hits and maybe a token b-side or something.
This is not the case with this package, this time around Robert
Palmer has commented on each song in the package and provided lyrics
to each song. The biggest surprise is that not all of these songs
are popular. In some cases, they were popular in the UK (like
"Johnny & Mary" for instance) but in some cases they never hit the
radio like "Style Kills" cowritten with Gary Numan. This disc is
excellent because it showcases the wide range of Robert Palmer,
especially to the people who think the only thing he wrote is
"Addicted to Love." There is a disc #2 which contains a few of the
hits that weren't included here, which might be a point of contention
with people who aren't that interested in owning a lot of Robert
Palmer's music. "Some Guys Have All The Luck" is not a Rod Stewart
cover and "Some Like It Hot" is from his Power Station days.

Track Listed:

01. Bad Case Of Loving You 07. Some Guys Have All The Luck
(Doctor, Doctor) 08. Some Like It Hot
02. Pride 09. What's It Take ?
03. Addicted To Love 10. Every Kinda People
04. Sweet Lies 11. Johnny & Mary
05. Woke Up Laughing 12. Simply Irresistable
06. Looking For Clues 13. Style Kills

 6. Trivia Quiz -=- Music & Movie Quotes
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Correction:
Question #2 from January's quiz was partially incorrect. It is
a snipet from the conservation the "Geek" had with "Carolyn" in
Jake's father's Rolls across the street from the church, not
a conversation with Molly Ringwald's character at the dance.
Thanks go to Satrina for being the first to point it out.

Back to the Future
http://www.bttf.com/

An excellent site, great graphics, with interviews of cast members,
complete bios, and well, more info than I can list. It's just a HUGE
cornicopia of facts on one of the best movies to come out of the 80s
(and yet, still be stuck there!) Probably the best page I've ever
seen devoted to a single movie, certainly better than any developed
by the studios for their new releases. You must check this one out.

Check out the links page at ChuckyG's, Over two thousand 80s links,
http://www.worcestermass.com/80s/links/ dead sites are weeded out
weekly. Coming soon, I hope to have a rank feature that let's
visitors review their favorite sites right next to the listings.
