"Don't You (Forget About Me)", Favorite Songs from Movies, Songs Beginning with A
Movies in the eighties had some of the best soundtracks, and the most
memorable and popular songs at the time seem to have sometimes outshone the
movies themselves. As I get time I'll add more songs to this list, feel free
to send me your additions to the list. If you want, try and list which scene
during the movie the song appears during. Oh, and the whole "Valley Girl"
soundtrack get's an honorable mention since
it's packed full of great eighties songs. I also rank and review other
eighties soundtracks on my
Soundtracks of the
Eighties Page in case you are interested.

Nancy Wilson! Mmmm! Love HEART! This is a killer rarity! The rest of this soundtrack rocks as well! Besides Gabriel's "Your Eyes" I especially love Cheap Trick's "You Want It" Satriani's "One Bigf Rush"(Once cranked this on headphones during a rollercoaster ride at Bush Gardens! Incredible!) and the ELO/BEATLES esq "Keeping the Dream Alive"! If you've never checked out the CD this is from do yourself a favor! Getting back to Nancy..little known fact:In Fast Times At Ridgemont High her hubby F.T. writer Cameron Crowe cast her as the hot babe in car cameo! That's her that Judge Reinhold winks at when he's delivering the food!

"Arrested by You" by
Rupert Hine used in the movie
Better Off Dead
Saw you played it at your wedding. You must find it as moving as I do? Seen this movie a hundred times! One of my all time favorites! Every character perfect for their parts and brillant camera direction & effects.Awesome soundtrack too! Although I miss Muddy Waters "Mannish Boy",Howard Jones "Like To Get to Know You Well" and of course animated hamburger video Van Halen's "Everybody Wants Some"! I am making my own soundtrack CD recording with these tracks as well as dialogue outakes included! "Lane Myer...the kid from GreenBay... I don't know...a once great champion...Now a study in mopishness!" But I digress! Little known fact about the song. That is actually John Cusack playing the sax in that part of the movie! That's why it's not on the CD! I miss that too! Think I'll mix it in from the DVD on my "New" recording!
