Movies in the eighties had some of the best soundtracks, and the most memorable and popular songs at the time seem to have sometimes outshone the movies themselves. As I get time I'll add more songs to this list, feel free to send me your additions to the list. If you want, try and list which scene during the movie the song appears during. Oh, and the whole "Valley Girl" soundtrack get's an honorable mention since it's packed full of great eighties songs. I love this song. It played while the Whitehead family escaped to Florida with the Sterns' kidnapped baby, Melissa. The reason the song has such a significance to it is that the Whiteheads wanted to name her Sara.

In the TV mini-series "Baby M," this song played when the Whitehead family fled to Florida with the baby that Mary Beth Whitehead carried as a surrogte mother for the Sterns. They named her "Sarah" and christened her as a Catholic, rather than "Melissa," which is the name the Sterns gave the baby.

I am not sure if you can help me, but I looking for a movie that I remeber as a child that had people chaning into monsters at night and it took place in a jungle , and I remeber "self control" being played during the ending credits. They just released a master of "Steal The Night" along with an offical album cover and instrumental track! It sounds awesome! There are plans on releasing a remastered version of the Bloodsport Soundtrack through Perseverance Records although no offical release date has been set. Rumor is Summer 2007 Keep your fingers crossed!
