YES!! I remember these! These were SO much better than Raisin Bran! The honey coating on the flakes made the cereal sweet enough that they didn't even have to sugar-coat the raisins! They NEED to bring this cereal back!!!

I used to love this cereal. The flakes stayed crunchy and the raisins where huge. Too bad they don't make it anymore. Total's version is better than regular Raisin bran but too expensive.

I don't care who tries, nobody can make a cereal as good as this and they need to bring it back!!!

Completely agreed - loved this cereal and was totally bummed when it eventually went away. I was just now searching on Amazon holding out hope that it was still made and just was distributed regionally! Unfortunately, doesn't appear to be the case :-(.

My wife will tell you I'm crazy.. but I've been complaining for years about General Mills' decision to remove Crispy Wheats n' Raisins or actually Wheaties Raisin Bran as it was called before it died. What irritates me is that Kelloggs came out with Raisin Bran Crunch which was a lousy attempt at matching CWNRs. One supermarket even had the gaul to place the Raisin Bran Crunch in the section where Wheaties Raisin Bran used to be. To this day, Kellogg continues to sell Raisin Bran Crunch and I can't eat it. I resent the fact that Wheaties Raisin Bran is gone. Would love to have it back!

Easily my favourite cereal of all time. A close second would be Buckwheat and Maple (it had a grandfather clock on the front of the box).

I remember eating this in the 1980s. It was not too sweet and was a good way to get a teen to eat something better. I still miss it and think about every so often. Its true the rasins were very big and even a bit juicy. The flakes were crunchy and the whole thing tasted very good. Lets bring it back! If they do it would have a different taste and cost $10.00 a box I bet.

My husband of 13 years has been talking about this cereal since we started dating. I have looked high and low for it because he makes it sound as if the planets of his universe would be in total alignment if he could simply sit down with one box of this cereal at his disposal - please bring it back to the shelves of our local grocery store!

Hands down the best raisin cereal ever! I miss this cereal so much. I tried the raisin bran crunch as well, hoping it would be like Crispy Wheats and Raisins. Sorry....no can do! Wasn't there a commercial for CWAR that featured the characters from the Wizard of Oz. My second favorite cereal was Freakies! I also love Boo Berry, however, I can get this at the store around Halloween time. It doesn't taste the same though. Attention General Mills...BRING BACK CRISPY WHEATS AND RAISINS!

Absolutely hilarious! I talk about this cereal all the time, it was my favorite without question. My wife thinks i'm weird to care about a cereal that much, but it really was that good! I'm all for starting a petition to bring it back! I'll go door to door if that's what it takes. I was searching today, hoping that maybe it just wasn't sold in Canada anymore, but now I see it's gone completely. Let's mobilize and get this amazing product back on the shelves!!!!

I was just thinking about this cereal this morning while sitting down to the bowl of sub-par Post RB. I was telling my wife how great CWAR were. Found this site and read the comments. My take away from the comments: There are a lot of guys that loved this cereal. Unfortunately, guys liked, and guys don't buy cereal. (generally from a consumer goods perspective the shopper is the "Mom". Gents, let this serve as a lesson to us all. If we like something, let's go shopping.

Crispy Wheats N Raisins was the BEST CEREAL EVER MADE!!!!!!! It was the only thing my mom could get me to eat as a child. general Mills is insane for pulling this product from the shelves. I have never met a single person, who did not LOVE THIS CEREAL!!!!!!! If I could find it I would eat it everyday. BRING BACK CRISPY WHEATS N RAISINS ASAP!!!!!!!

When Crispy Wheats 'N Raisins was introduced in 1979 I was in the first commercial and my photograph was on the side of the box along with my pretend wife, son and daughter. A minature box exactly duplicating the larger one was mailed to homes all over the US. For many months I collected checks from the re-runs of this commercial and each time I went to the grocery store I looked on the cereal shelves to make sure my picture was still there. I knew that if they changed the box it would mean they would change the commercial and that would be the end of that nice income. One day suddenly the box was changed and when I turned on the TV there was the "Wizard of Oz" themed commercial with a friend of mine as the Tin Man. I still liked the cereal.

Please bring back my CRISPY WHEATS N RASIN CEREAL back to me. How can we get General Mills to bring it back. Someone help us............

I absolutely Loved the Crispy Wheats and Raisin Cereal. I wish they would bring it back. It was 100 times better than the regular Raisin Bran. Raisin Bran is not nearly as good as it use to be. The flakes are tough and I it has a lot of powdery cereal in the bottom of the bag when I open the box so quite a bit gets thrown away. Please bring back the Crispy Wheats and Raisin.

Not only was this far and above the best raisin bran type cereal of all time, using a box of these with oatmeal made the BEST OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES !!!!!! PLEASE BRING IT BACK ( and not new and improved).

This was the best cereal ever made. when it was starting to get harder to find, I ordered it by the case for my home FOR ME!! This is the only cereal that never gets soggy. Iwould like to know why they took it away. I miss it BRING IT BACK. I eat RB once in awhile but it sucks.

Gotta get in my 2 cents worth. Oh yeah...it was the best cereal ever. I loved Wheaties, and I loved Raisin Bran. Then they came out with this...a combo of both. I was in heaven. The thing is...it's not just that the flakes were coated and crispier than Raisin Bran flakes...it's that the flakes *weren't* bran; they were wheat. That was ever so much better than the bran flakes. Soggy bran flakes be gone! I've talked about this cereal to my kids for years, and I've finally gotten them hooked on Raisin Bran (yeah, they like the Crunch). But they're really missing out on what they don't know. I guess it didn't sell well enough to keep it in production, but I'm really glad to see I'm not the only person who really misses the stuff.

Unbelievable! Years ago when I could no longer find it on the shelves I wondered why such a great cereal was not there any longer. As I was just eating a bowl of Raisin Bran and the flakes were soggy I thought again for the 100th time why in heaven's name did General Mills quit making this cereal. I can't walk down the cereal isle without thinking about it. Wouldn't it be fabulous if General Mills would reintroduce Crispy Wheats and Raisins?

First, I think it's awesome the guy on the box is part of the MSG board. Second, I almost have nothing to add that hasn't been said by my fellow CWAR fans. I was just telling my riendships about the Cereal (he's a bit too young to remember it and out of novelty looked it up online to show him the box. I read your comments out loud and everything I just told him was reinforced, down to the dissappointment of Raisin Bran Crunch and always looking for it anytime I went down the isle. He was impressed.

Does anyone remember the Chripy Wheats and Raisins muffin recipe? They were so great and you could refrigerate the mix and make as needed? I sooo need the that if anyone wants to share....

This cereal was amazing! I used to eat it DRY in the dugout of Div. 1 college baseball games instead of chew or seeds. My coach who banned food in dugout had to allow it and we started winning and he couldn't stop eating it. It spread throughout the country during summer leagues etc.. then GONE!!! Where is it? Bring it back.

On October 9th,2009.. I commented about why I resented General Mills for yanking the CWAR brand of cereal.. or Wheaties Raisin Bran.. as they called it at the time. I still resent this loss.. I'm glad to see so many others feel the same way. I believe if GM brought this cereal back and marketed it, there would be a huge rush to buy it.. Still waiting! What's wrong with those GM Product Managers? There's money to be made here.. redo your NPV and competitive analyses.. get it done already! What will it take? A huge social network outcry?

I still search store shelves in vain for Crispy Wheat n Raisin. This cereal tasted great, stayed crunchy, and was the closet I've ever come to eating healthy. Is there anyway to get it back? It's amazing how great things go first.

I have pleased with General Mills several times over the last few years to bring back our beloved Crispy Wheats N Raisins. I remember sitting watching cartoons on Saturday mornings putting down three bowls of it! All of the other raisin cereals have and forever will be a soggy joke. CWNR was utter perfection. Perfect amount of sweetness, with those cripsy golden-touched flakes. I pray some day they will bring it back. PLEASE WRITE TO GENERAL MILLS DEMANDING IT BACK!!!

General Mills is a crap company for pulling this product off the shelf. I will always resent this decision. Whoever was the product manager to discontinue it is the biggest imbecile in the cereal industry. The fact that Kellogg's continues to market the inferior Raisin Bran crunch is a crime to the American public. I continue to hold a major grudge against General Mills for doing nothing to bring this cereal back. They are missing out on a huge marketing opportunity and today's younger general public will have no idea what they are missing. It's a lousy shame and I continue to be bitter about it! My 2 cents. I just ate a stank bowl of Raisin Bran & suddenly had THE BIGGEST hankering for one of my all-time favorite cereals, Crispy Wheats & Raisins. Much like everyone above, this cereal holds a near & dear place in my heart. As a child of the 80's, I recall my mornings eating CWAR and then watching Price is Right. The deliciousness is engraved forever in my memory and I would kill a saber tooth tiger barehanded to get me a box today!!

As a 60s kid I never really liked sodas or super-sugary breakfast cereals. The sodas were like drinking cold syrup the second option was like eating mushy, milky sugar as soon as you got up. Crispy Raisin Wheats were different...they were a bit sweet but mostly crunchy & always delicious. Please bring them back.

What Raisin Bran only wished it could be! If you won’t bring the cereal back then publish the recipe for the long suffering fans.
