"New Fruit ISLANDS cereal ... Ayumma-yumma! You can say it, too!"

I entered my daughter in the Fruit Islands cereal contest to win a "record player" LOL yep, a turntable with a cassette player and stereo speakers. Well, she won! I still have the stereo set in my basement, it is turquoise and works great. I think the cereal went under shortly thereafter.

I remember the commercials with King Ayumayuma. But I never ate the cereal. I wish I had.

This was my FAVORITE cereal. I was so sad when it was discontinued. It kind of tasted like Fruity Pebbles but somehow much better. Hope it comes back some day.

I loved this cereal and was curious if this was just a midwestern thing or if it was nation wide. It reminded me of a fruity pebbles flavored cookie crisp. With apple bits on it.
