Not sure the exact time in the 80's this cereal came out, but i do remember my parents buying it for the kids. I absolutely love it!

Man, these were great! I LOVED these things!
there were 2 different versions. the originalkind had an elephant named Smedley for it's logo and was the capn crunch cereal with penut butter flavoring added. then they changed it around the early 80's and added real peanut butter to the cereal. i didnt care for it back then. I have tried other PB cereals since then and like them better.
Look, back in the day when they had the foil bag, that stuff was scrumtious!! Like if you put some pieces on a brown paper bag, they would leave oil marks! When chewing, you got this greasy oh so good thing going on, you could taste the lard! MMMMmmmmm Now I find it a bit dry.
