OMG!! i loved this cereal!!! where is it??!!??

I'm 36 now and i still look for this cereal to this day when i go to a new store this was my favorite cereal. man i miss it.

OMG!! I thought I was the only one who remembered that. I can still hear that jingle. I found myself humming it the other day, I'm pretty sure it's to the tune of some Nutcracker song. It was yummy cereal, too!

I was born in 1982. Iwas very little when this cereal came out but I love the Smurfs anyway. And so did my older brother and my parents.

The maker of this greatest, #1 of all time cereal was POST which is now a division of its parent company Kraft foods. Lets all start an email campaign and petition them to bring it back. Oh man do I ever remember that cereal. They were the best. I think they were either cherry or strawberry flavored corn puffs mixed with blueberry corn puffs. I don't know what happened to them but whoever took them off the shelves should have their heads examined.

Smurf cereal was by the best cereal. A long time ago capin cruch had a deep sea cruch that tasted just like smurf cereal. But nothing compares to it. I wish that post would bring it back.

WOW!!! my mom used to keep this cereal stocked in the house bc I loved it. My friends are the same age as me (27) and think i'm crazy bc they never heard of the Smurf's having cereal. You can tell they were sheltered...lol!!!!

It never seizes to amaze me what you come across on the internet. I like the rest LOVED this cereal and still look for it. It feels Awesome to not be the only one who remembers what the cereal was like. I can still catch a smell that takes me back To the BERRIES!!

Actually Smurfs IS still airing on television, Sza. Boomerang airs it a couple of times a day.. along with many other 80's cartoons. But yeah, I agree that the cereal is unlikely to return. Kids today want spongebob junk.

Hanna Montana cereal just came out and it lookslike/resembles "smurf berry crunch" of the 80s. I bought a few boxes but have yet to try it.

I remember getting Smurf Berry Crunch as a "treat" on Christmas and the last day of school. No wonder I have such fond memories! My parents would always let me pick one "junk" cereal for those days, and I ALWAYS chose Smurf Berry Crunch.

I totally loved this cereal and whether the cartoon is on T.V. or not if people will buy it is all that counts. I remember when I was little getting sent "down south" to my Aunt Vera's house. I was having the worst time , I missed my family so much. My Aunt took me to the grocery store and told me I could get anything I wanted. I was so happy to see Smurfberry Crunch on the self. I got two boxes!! After that I loved "down south"!!!

Sometimes this cereal is einacrnated by post as different "trend" cereals. I have tasted a couple, like the "Spiderman 3" cereal and the "scooby doo bones" cereal. None of these cereals are exactly the sma,e but they are close.

I remember waking up saturday morning and having this cereal! My sister use to scarf this down. One time we ran out of milk so she ate it with orange juice instead. It wasn't all THAT bad, but that is how much she like it!

God, I sure remember this stuff. It had a very, VERY, potent chemical taste, almost certainly from the dark blue 'berries'. It was atrocious and it ended up going stale because no one could stand it. Sure enough, though, a few months later my brother and I begged my mom for another box. Why? It was one of the only blue cereals around... Oh boy. And, yes, that box went stale too.

Rice Cripies - Berry Crispies are the closest thing to the urf Berries - they sure were good!! Try the rice cripy brand in stores today!!

I remember this cereal. I'm not totally sure but I think the closest thing I have found lately to what I remember Smurf Berry Crunch tasting like is a Barbie cereal I bought for my daughter. I don't know who makes I'm pretty sure it is in most stores. I got it at WalMart.

It had a distinct smell and flavor to it that NO other cereal has even come close to duplicating. I've tried some of the ones people say are close to it, but none really do. I heard Easter Whoppers are close to it, but we have another couple of months to find out. I don't know why Post doesn't bring it back. Did it really sell that bad? It flavor was so unique nothing in 20 plus years has ever tasted like it. Maybe they will re-release it because of The Smurf Movie in production, but i haven't been able to find any news.

Sadly I have been able to remember the smell and taste of this cereal for decades. I miss it. It was by far the best cereal ever made. I really do wish they would bring it back so my poor lil tummy could enjoy that sweet suprise all over again.

I keep looking for it too, even though I know they don't make it anymore. The closest I've come to the taste was mixing these 3 cereals together: Capn Crunch Oops All Berries, Berry Berry Kix, and Scooby Doo Berry Bones. It still wasn't even that great. This is my favorite cereal. Once in a blue moon I smell something (have never found out what) that smells like the cereal. I immediately stop what I'm doing and try to sniff out where it is coming from. I always hope it's the revival of Smurf Berry Crunch, but am always disappointed. It had a very distince smell and taste and no other cereal comes close. I can't believe it was discontinued. Whoever had anything to do with stopping it's production, or refusing to start it up again, I hope they've had a miserable life since then. Sounds mean, but that's how much I remember loving this cereal when I was a kid. The last time I remember eating it was when I was about 3. It was discontinued before I started school. I received the complete 1st season of The Smurf's last year. Most of my friends laugh at it being childish, but The Smurf's ALWAYS make me happy. The remind me of a time when all I had to think about was food and playing. I'm contacting Post and letting them know how angry I am they discontinued the cereal. Everyone else PLEASE express your disappointment too!

Like alot of other people mentioned certian smells, or tastes, will bring back the memory of that wonderful, fruity cereal. As good as it was, it kind of makes me sad to remember it because I doubt I'll ever have it again. I loved it with milk, but also enjoyed it dry. Cap'n Crunchberries don't come close- to hard and somewhat salty. Sure would brighten up my days if somehow it could come back though...

This was my favorite cereal. My mom quit buying Smurf Berry Crunch because I would the whole box in one day, and I was a skinny kid.

I seen lots of comparison to ooops all berries but it's not comparison at all they have totally different flavors. Original Smurfs taste waaaayyy better (and side note) don't forget about the Smurfs cereal with marshmallows. I found a cereal that comes close to the actual taste and it's called Berry Vanilla puffs by "cascadian Farm"

Capn Crunch has a cotton candy cereal out. Blue and red crunchberriers. Closest thing I've had that resembles Smurfberry Crunch.
