What happened to Almond Delight Cereal
Amanda - August 16, 2008 - Report this comment
Okay, this is probably a really stupid question but its driving me crazy that I can't remember the name of this cereal I loved as a kid. It was almost like a Smore's kind of cereal (though not actually called that). It had cereal pieces similar to Chex or Life, then it had mini marshmallows (might have been choc swirl marshmallows, but not sure) and then it had this little tiny mini graham crackers in it. Does anyone remember this cereal? Anyone recall the name of it? Thanks! (FYI its not Smorz, Golden Grahams or Graham Crunch)

Does anyone know the name of the cereal that was Crispix but was coated extremely well with white frosting all over it?? I thought it was Double Dip Crunch for sure, but after looking it up it says it was only coated with honey and nuts (which I do remember. I loved that cereal, too) So now I'm really confused. Oh, btw, I do remember that cereal the person above is talking about. I remember the small rectangle shaped graham crackers, but I don't know the name of it.

We had a cereal called Rice Crispies (Nabisco) in Australia in the 80s. Probably the best cereal in history. This might also have something to do with Rice Krispies (Kelloggs) being called Rice Bubbles in Australia. Nabisco canned its Australian cereal operations and I think Uncle Tobys eventually got hold of the name and turned the cereal to crap. Does anyone else remember?

Does anybody recall a cereal called Ironman (or Iron Man)? It was probably billed as a healthier cereal, looked like little a figure-eight (but with three holes), and was very "grainy." I've looked all over the net, but can't find a mention of it. Kind of looked like Kellogg's Nutri-Grain cereal from Australia and New Zealand.

My mom used to get this awful animal-shaped cereal...tasted like stale cheerio's...The commercial went: "Hello my name is Crispy...How do you do....something somethin and a low-sugar cereal that is so good for you...Anyone know what it was?
Danielle - February 12, 2009 - Report this comment
Ingrid- I believe it was called Crispy Critters. Kind of funny when you think about it. And I also remember a yummy smores cereal in the mid-90s, I believe it was called Smores Graham cereal, made by General Mills.

Craig - yes, I remember Ironman cereal! I was afraid I was the only one who remembered it, as I haven't been able to find anything about it on the Web either. It came in a red box, and had sort of a honey flavor to it - I really liked it, and I remember being very disappointed when I found out it had been discontinued.

I am trying to think of a cereal I remember eating when I was a child. It was like a shredded wheat, but inside was a small strip of apple cinnamon and I think it was strawberry. Any ideas what it would have been?

My Mom use to buy Us an S shaped cereal, it was a bit salty but it was good! The name Snappy S's comes to mind but I'm not sure if that's the name. I think there was a Turtle on the box. Does anybody remember this cereal?

Does anyone remember a cereal that was wild west themed(the box) and had either blueberry puffs with captain crunch flavored puffs or blueberry cookies. I can't remember which but I just remember it was blueberry.

The cereal I can't remember was honey flavored and on the back of the box it had a maze where the milkman had to deliver the milk to a house.

I remember a cereal from when I was young 1974-1982? that (as I recall) looked like dark brown sticks. They tasted AWESOME. If memory serves, they almost look like a pretzel stick.....anyone have any thoughts?

I remember this cereal I used to eat all the time in the early to mid 90's... It was cinnamon flavored and was swirled like a cinnamon roll, but it wasn't the cinnamon roll cereal... I can't remember what it was called! Maybe cinnamon twisters or something like that? Does anyone remember that stuff?

I miss hidden Treasures... does anyone know of anywhere it is still sold?
Nicole C. - September 16, 2009 - Report this comment
Does anyone remember the cereal that had a filling? It wasnt Fruit Wheats.. that was more like a jelly in the middle. With this one, it was more like the thickness of a Lucky Charm marshmallow, but a little more fruity flavored. The outside was crunchy, smooth, and sweet. It was so good and no matter where I look, I can't find a picture or a name!
Wayne - October 09, 2009 - Report this comment
There was a cereal that was sold until late 60's. It was a brown color, rectangle pieces with rectangle holes. I want to say it had an oatmeal flavor. Anyway, it...was...awesome! Anyone remember the name??
Wayne - October 09, 2009 - Report this comment
typo alert, in the previous comment I said "sold until late 60's." I meant to type "the late 80's"
Meghan - November 18, 2009 - Report this comment
Yes the cereal with the filling was hidden treasures it was captain crunch with some pink stuff in certain pieces other ones were plain came out in 1993!
Janet - November 22, 2009 - Report this comment
Anyone remember this.... it wasn't a cereal but an oatmeal. The oatmeal came with a gel type filling that you would spread on the oatmeal? The commercials would show the oatmeal having a large spiral circle on it.... That stuff was awesome and I miss it.

There is a cereal that I remember but don't know the name. I liked it a lot and have always wondered what it was. It was shaped like a figure 8, tasted grahm-like and the commercial for it had a milk man delivering the cereal with the milk. Ring any bells?

Am I crazy or was there a cereal that came in a yellow box and had a cowboy or old timer and train tracks on it (cartoonish) and tasted a lot like eggo cereal?? I cannot think of the name of it for the life of me

Amanda--the cereal was called "Cinnamon Mini Buns". I used to LOVE it! And Janet...I think the oatmeal you mentioned was called "Oatmeal Swirlers".

i remember a cereal with a cowboy on the front, but i don't know if it's what you are thinking of, casey. i swear the cowboy cereal was "made with real orange juice." i also remember ice cream cone cereal, rice krispies with mini marshmallows, smurfberry crunch (!!!), and boo berry, which, apparently, is back on the market. i bought a box when i first saw it for nostalgic reasons, oh my god, SWEET! blah. i could feel the cavities forming. :0)

What I have been looking at was the Nerds cereal made only a short time based upon the candy also, made by the Willy Wonka company, the candy is still made to this day. The cereal is gone forever,BUT it had a cereal box looking like the candy box did, with a red side and orange side separated bags within contained the two different flavours of cereal, one Cherry or strawberry red, the other orange.Set up like the candy also. And two openings at the top also.I really loved that cereal! The oatmeals you spoke of Were indeed Oatmeal Swirlers, with the cinnamon or fruit to put on the top.

There was a cereal that was around in the 70's or very early 80's that was like KIX but the cereal balls were vanilla flavored and were actually filled with chocolate....(like the consistency of a chocolate bar)Anyone remember these?

Amanda- Sounds like Rocky Road cereal. Red box with a picture of a bowl of cereal on the front (that pretty much describes any cereal box though). It was really good cereal, don't remember it being around very long though.

Does anyone remember a cereal that I believe looked very similar to a rice kripsy/granola type cereal. They aren't honey smacks or golden krisps. They clumped together rather well when you added milk I think. I've been looking for it since...ever! Maybe it was around the late 80's, early 90's.

Juls, i believe you are talking about 'Buc-Wheats'...absolutely hands down my favorite cereal ever, but sadly it is no more. there is a petition out there to try and get general mills to bring it back...if you find the petition, sign it1

Kellie - perhaps you are talking about Kelloggs 'Bigg Mixx' which had a Moose type of creature on the box. i think he was a combination of a few animals, thus the cereal name.

ali, i think you could be talking about 'freakies' or 'moonstones' .. also 'quisp' had an outer space character...

Im wondering if anybody knows the name of the cereal that looked like cheerios but had something like granola or apple thingies in the middle, i thought they were apple jacks but i was wrong, all i can remember is the granola like taste in the middle of a circle. also was apple dapple a cereal? sounds familiar. also if there are any cereal makers reading these posts, would you PLEASE bring back hidden treasures or box toys or games? trying to sneak into the kitchen and cutting little holes on the bottom side of the box just to get the toys brings back memories that i wish my kids would experience.

Does anyone know what the 80s cereal was that looked like the round part of Tinker Toys? If I recall, it was bland tasting maybe 'honey' coated round pieces with holes in them. Round as in flat round like Tinker Toys.
