Nobody believes me that this cereal existed! I even called the company several years ago to prove to myself that I was not mis-remembering it! They could not give me the years it was produces, but they did confirm it did indeed exist. I thought it was from the 70s though. Oh well...at least I am vindicated! LOL Too bad the photo does not have Nilly the Whale...cause that is who I remember being on the box.

les, i feel you! i was just telling my daughter about this cereal. it was the bomb! there was a whale on the front of the box as i remember. we need to campaign to bring it back.

It was the best cereal in the world!!!! I tell my kids about it. I commented captain crunch website toady to tell them how much it was enjoyed, and that it would be popular now since there are no vanilla cereals!!! My kids are dying to try it!!!!

interesting, how cap'n crunch has made a multitude of cereals over the years, but has failed to bring back THE greatest one of them all - vanilly crunch! also interesting how no one on the internet has come up with a petition to have quaker bring back it's greatest product.
