This was the greatest cereal mankind has ever known. I would buy 500 boxes of it right now if the company would offer me an exclusive deal. I miss Waffle-O-Bill.

VERY GOOD CEREAL. THEN THEY CAME OUT WITH WAFFEL CRISP WHICH WAS JUST AS GOOD. THEY MESSED UP WHEN THEY REPLACED IT WITH EGGO WAFFELS.

Waffle-os-Bill was the best cereal ever make. I am happy I am not the only person how remembers them. I will buy ever box there were if I could.

After doing some research, I've discovered that this cereal was originally made by Ralston Purina. At some point, Ralston Purina sold the rights to most of their brand name cereals to General Mills, but I'm not sure if General Mills had accuired the rights to Waffle O's. Whoever owns the rights and the recipe needs to make it again. I can still taste it, and I'll always remember the sad day that my mom told me they had stopped making it. I couldn't understand why they would stop making the best cereal in the world. :(

I remember these! They were better than today's "Waffle Crisp"! The original had a VERY nice maple flavor, & the Blueberry was even BETTER!

Man - those blueberry Waffle-Os - I have been searching for that delicious artificially flavored blueberry for my entire life... Other fake blueberry flavors have come close, but none exactly like it... So distinctive... Probably carcinogenic!!!

i loved how the box was printed and designed so you could cut off the tops to create the facade of a typical building in a wild west town (livery, general store, sheriff, etc) you could collect boxes to add to your collection of waffle-o's buildings to make a little town and cut out little waffle-o bill and his horse and play with them. i've never seen any other cereal box try out this gimmick. it was the only reason i asked for waffle-o's. my recollection is that i sort of disliked the taste (cap'n crunch with an artificial syrup/blueberry additive)

I am so glad I,ve found this site. My friends swore me up and that these cereal never existed and that I was just old. I wish they would sell them again because they were the best cereal ever made. Like slap yo mama good!!!

I see I'm not the only one that still remembers those cereal from back in the day. I didn't care for the blueberry too much but the original is the greatest of all time. As a matter of fact a search for a picture of the box led me to this site. There needs to be an act of Congress to get these things back on the market.

I loved the blueberry version of this cereal. The last bowl I had, my sister was sitting at the breakfast table with some clear beauty facial mask goop on her face that made it look like her skin was melting off. It put me off my cereal and I couldn't finish it... then they discontinued the stuff and I never had any again. Fate can be so cruel sometimes.

Maybe it's just me, but Kashi's Heart-to-Heart Honey Toasted Oat Cereal taste reminds me of Waffle-o's. In fact it's what made me go looking up Waffle-o's and find this site. Cheers!

I used to love this cereal and everyone thinks i'm crazy when I asked them, "hey do you remember that cereal called Waffle-os?". 1 day I went to the store and there was this snack called Dittos. They taste exactly like Waffle-Os. When I first had them it took me like 2 weeks to figure out what was so familiar about the taste. I thought ,hmm I could put these in a bowl of milk and eat them like cereal. The best ish ever.

I was in the Army and Blueberry Waffle-O's was the best cerial on the face of this earth. I was sent to Germany for a year and a half and when I came back, Sambos restaurants and Waffle-o's both gone. It's like our country was taken over by the Soviets. And the call of the Waffle-bird forever taken from the new generation: "waffle-waffle-waffle-waffle"... why did they do it?

I don't remember eating the regular flavor Waffle-O's, but man, I can still taste the blueberry ones. I wish there was something similar on the market to take the place of it, but alas, my favorite cereal went the way of my favorite soda Sprite Remix Tropical - EXTINCT:( Food manufacturers can be so cruel!

OMG, the Blueberry Waffleos were the 2nd best cereal ever made, behind Smurf Berry Crunch. I remember eating this stuff straight out of the box, while watching Saturday morning 'toons, as a kid. And it wasn't Ralston/Purina who took this off the market, it was the FDA - stupid kids weren't chewing the very large pieces of cereal, and ended up choking on them. The FDA made Purina take it off the market in 1983. The closest thing nowadays to the Maple Syrup flavor is "Oh's" cereal, but the Blueberry flavor is the ones I miss most.

Used to eat Waffle-O's all the time. My sister and I loved them. Probably my favorite cereal of all time. Can't believe so many people remember Waffle-O's (and liked them, too). I'd love to find some again someday.

I miss Waffle-O's. I was just sharing my love for this orgasmic cereal and thought maybe I could find some on Google and found this memory page. Maybe they could sell them again with child proof packaging.

Don't want to get anyone excited, but I just downloaded an app for my iPhone to log my meals and Waffle-O's was on there. If they are on a new app, they must be sold somewhere!!!! The search is on!

Truly, one of the most memorable cereals of the 1980s. Waffle Ohs Blueberry was fantastic. I miss everything about it. Can say, Smurf berry crunch was a close second. There are some good cereals being made these days that were carry overs from the 60's-90's but not as many "Super good" cereals still exist. Can't believe marketing can't see this better. Lots of great childhood memories with these cereals. Time to reevaluate the current market and do some Redux.

Man...I grew up in a house where sugar cereals were considered a once a year treat (I had health-nut parents), but my best friend up the street always had the best stocked pantry! She would have boxes of Waffle-O's and we would sit in the dark pantry with the door closed and eat them right out of the box while we discussed boy crushes we had! Man, if only they still made them...my life would be so great!

I really miss the tasted....When i was a kid I would get the biggest salad bowl. I could finded.. and pour the whole box in my bowl...Man i really miss the tasted like it was yesterday.. I too loved this cereal...but I hate to think about what might have made it so addictive! LOL BTW, anyone else there is more than a casual connection with Toy Story? Particularly, Bullseye and the Prospector from Woody's Roundup? Just sayin'.

Blueberry Waffelos is definitely one of the 3 top foods I'd give my first born to eat again!! LOL.along with the ORIGINAL Taco Doritos & Fortune Bubble Gum.

OMGosh!!! I remember telling my mom I wanted to try these cause they looked good on the box. I sat down at my kitchen table to try out what I had bought.And the first taste of it in a little milk was ok but when I poured my first bowl of Waffle-O's and ate them; It was a wrap!!! I was hooked. They were so good.Huge injustice they just discontinued them and won't let anyone bring them back!

Life cereal has a new flavor: maple and brown sugar. it tastes how I remember waffle o's tasting but the texture is typical of life cereal. over, not bad.

Post has good Mornings look and taste like waffles. kids love them. Its a good throw back to Waffelos

I totally forgot about this cereal until I saw an old 80s commercial on YouTube. It had the most amazing artifical maple flavor I couldn't get enough of them. I would buy these now of they still made them.

Waffle Os were my favorite too and I had the whole Wild West town. I r tried other waffle cereals but nothing comes close. Yesterday I found New Eggo Homestyle waffle cereal and it’s pretty close. No cut outs on back however.

Had them in 1979 or 1980 Down in Michigan. 40 years later still Talk about them when discussing Cereal!! Up here in Canada, they just came out with the Kellogg's Eggo Waffles Cereal which is pretty close. Waffelos are Like the Rum and Butter Chocolate bar, they Should make a Comeback!!
