I remember always going in to the Bennetton store but never coming out with anything, rather expensive. I think Bennetton is making a comeback.

My cuz was a teen in the 80's where i was just a little kid. I remember her bringing me an empty Bennetton display rack from the store (she worked there) and she was all excited about it. I could have cared less. I didn't get it. slap bracelets and converse for me, thank you.

I could only afford a couple of outfits from Benneton (I was very young at the time it was big), but I remember, of course, the ads quite vividly, as well. I loved the perfume, Colors. Yes, I believe Bennetton is making a comeback. I've seen the stores in several outlet malls and the quality of the clothing is not shabby, either. They carry very nice wool clothing in the winter, especially.

I still wear Colors cologne. I remember getting it for Christmas in 1989--my freshman year of high school. It had a very distinct fragrance. The bottle I had twenty years ago was black and had the Colors logo in different colors around the sides if I recall. The one they have now is blue with a white logo on one side only.

Bennetton was really big in the mid-eighties and was famous for its advertising campaigns featuring multinational, multiracial people wearing the clothes looking happy. To me, the clothes seemed to be inspired a lot by Kenzo.

One of my biggest phobias as a kid was Benetton's "hexopus" logo, which looked like a sea creature would pop out and hold me hostage as I entered to the store. Well, the Benetton Group is probably even more afraid of its future as the company has really fallen from grace after being found literally all over the globe at its peak in the late 1980s into the early 1990s when it was one of the pioneers of what's known as "fast fashion". But its advertising was really ahead of its time regarding cultural appropriation.
