I so remember my Chic jeans with the tulip cut and the ankles! They fit the best if you had a "bubble butt"; fortunately I did.

I loved my Chic jeans!! Too bad they aren't in style now.

I had one pair back in the 80's and loved them so much I could not get rid of them even when I got to big for them. I am 62 now and losing weight. I wore my chic jeans for the first time in over 20 years the other night. They are still the best!

I had a pair,perfect fit. Truely wish I could find these jeans now. They were the nicest jeans I ever owned.Still searching for a pair.@

Hey, Brown, if this is so stupid then why are you on this site? I personally love eighties style, just as long as you don't go to over the top, which many people tend to do. I admire those who stick out from a crowd, and a perfect way to do that is bringing back a style from three decades ago. Compliment these awesome jeans with some peace sign jewelry and you're good to go!

@nini39 I am looking for a pair for an 80s party too!!!!! Mannnn if I could find some red ones with the split at the bottom....It would be over!(in a good way!) They need to bring that skinny chic jean back with the split at the ankle.

I remember these coming in at the end of the 70s, like 1979, and thinking it weird that they pronounced Chic like "chick" instead of like the French word for stylish. The band, Chic, was popular at the same time and they pronounced it right. Anyway, I remember this being one of many jean labels girls wore at the time, along with Britannia, Gloria Vanderbilt, and others, all considered not as desirable as Calvin Klein.

Chic jeans were my favorite, they fit me so well because I was petite but curvy...

I am trying to locate a pair of these jeans for a 80 party for my class reunion next year. I remember having two pair of them one pair had no pockets in the and the white pair had the split at the bottom love them because your girl had the butt for them. I always wore Chic Jeans W/elastic waist as my waist is straight up and down the rest of me is 2 sizes smaller!! Last year they discontinued the ones with the pockets on the back. They were so stylish and gave me the look of zippered jeans, all of my friends loved them as their weight fluctuates and it let them have comfy stylish jeans too.....I got the generic ones and 3 pair stretch and bag as I wear them the other 2 are made smaller in the rise and have been cut 2" shorter than the others.....the company does nothing to bring back the pocket ones....maybe if the "POWER" of us would all get together it would help.....I used to be a buyer and the success was a custumer getting what she liked....espechially a BASIC pair of pants!!!!!!!

I had several pairs of Chic jeans, my favorite being the one, as a few have mentioned here: tulip cut leg, no pockets, and looked best on a bubble butt (yep, that's me). I remember them being called "Cheetah" jeans, and I don't know if I still have them. My boyfriend at the time, always said they made my butt look big, but I didn't care. I've tried searching eBay, etc. for them, but haven't been successful.

I had a pair that were like a velvet material and the color was a dark turquoise. The legs were tight and rounded with a slit at the ankles. I'm not really sure but Zimdon't think they had pockets. Mi would love a pair of these again. The fit was perfect.

These were worn in the 90s to my first girlfriend in 1996 had a pair of Chic Jeans that was faded light blue looked good on her, to bad jeans like this aren't in style anymore!!!!!!
