I remember this line of clothing hitting the nicest local department stores and creating quite a stir! I still have a pair of the old slacks. Olive green with pleated waist, side closure & tapered legs/ankles. And I remember a BF gave me a short waisted cardigan sweater that had these huge fluffy balls of yarn woven into the fabric all over. Weird but plush looking and it cost about $75 back in the 80s, so this brand was expensive!

ESPRIT was one of the coolest name brands of the 80's. I remember if you could afford it, then you were not only cool, but ultra-trendy, too. I miss ESPRIT. What happened to it?

Huge ESPRIT fan. I had T-Shirts & I so loved there big bags. Alot of girls in highschool used those for school bags. I had a light pink one & that got warn out so I got a black one with the logo in rainbow colors. I still have that bag & is in perfect condition. I will never get rid of that bag. LOL Those were the coolest.

I to LOVED ESPRIT!!! I had the Pale Pink Book Bag for School as well. At the Time Guess & Camp Beverly Hills Brands were also REALLY Popular! ESPRIT still does exist just Google for a their Website

It definitely wasn't ESPIRIT anywhere. ESPRIT only. But yeah, I loved these clothes as a kid and preteen. They were considered very hip. My favorite was a short sleeve top that said Esprit River Trip in orange and black with a little bit of red, and an orange camp shirt (button down) that went over it, worn open of course. I wore it all the time with black leggings and black Keds. Another favorite Esprit item was an oversized black and white checked top with satin lining in red, yellow, green, and blue. I'd say that was the quintessential 1980's shirt LOL

My friends and I were known as the Esprit Club b/c it's almost all we wore. I remember my favorite was a paint splattered pair of pants. I remember decorating my room with tags and pictures torn out of magazines. Tooo funny!

If anyone has the old solid-coloured sweatshirt with ESPRIT across the front in big letters and would sell it, please, please leave a comment. I check this site regularly.

I remeber owning a pair of Esprit mint green leather sneakers. I found them in a discount store near the end of their popularity, and I had absolutely nothing to wear them with! I also had a pair of sling back, pointed toe flats that were black with white threaded "dots". They too were purchased in a discount store. At the time, I was just happy to have a name brand!

Oh, yes. I used to own a couple of sweaters an oversize red one in ripped knitting and a gorgeous one with wide green, turquoise and blue stripes, an absolute must-have at the time, in spite of the price. At least here in Europe you still get Esprit stores and I thik it is pretty big on the inter net, their designs have become rather anonymous however, nothing that stands out like in the good old days.

Their clothes were mostly too loud for me. I do like the sweatshirts though and the solid color sweaters and the leather sandals and a western print skirt they made.

Oh my gosh. You could not be cool at my school without the Esprit tennis shoes that looked like Keds. They came in fun colors with contrasting laces. Then, if you were extra cool, you would use the funky Esprit shoebox, which had a strap, as a lunchbox. It was awesome! As a side note, there was an E Spirit, but it was kind of the knock off, and not considered cool at my school.
