Gloves worn up to the elbow and full of holes. Yeah, you saw stuff like that in the 80s. Gloves kind of made a comeback in the 80s after not being fashionable really since the early 60s. You started seeing long, formal gloves again and brightly colored gauntlet gloves with tailored suits, that sort of thing. Not required the way they had been before the mid-60s, just newly fashionable. And of course the fingerless glove trend of the mid-80s, popularized by Madonna, was everywhere for a while.
