I had these in every color imaginable.. we used to layer them and wear them OVER our jeans (which were tight rolled)... this site is way too fun.. so many memories.. we used to also wear two different colored shirts and roll the sleeves so both colors showed.. and then match those to our socks...loved the 80's

The thin ones are best for layering, but wear out very quickly. I had big holes on the bottoms of mine after only a few times of wearing them.

I loved slouch socks, especially the thicker ones. Usually wore black ones with my white Leather Nike Cortez's with the red swoosh. I always liked the contrast of white sneakers with dark colored socks.

I've been wearing slouch socks for years because they conceal the fact that my calves are disproportionately too short for my thighs. I swear, I have short calves and long thighs, and slouch socks reduce this appearance.

My wife wears them almost every day! Not so much in the summertime with shorts anymore but different kinds of slouch socks pretty much make up her entire drawer. She really likes them and can't wait for their comeback. I love they way look too personally, it may be just cause of her but certainly notice them if I see them out somewhere. That plus she points every cute girl out she sees wearing them and usually asks where she got them. I guess I look forward to girls wearing them again too.

Socks were so big in the 80's, there was a store at our mall called The Sock Shop. You could also buy designer shoelaces there.

I wore them socks with my candies wedges, ankle tie high heels,or with dr. scholls exercise sandals. I just love them. I was glued to that style then.

OMG!! I always wear my scrunch socks!! The white and white keds rock!! I always get compliments! I like them too with high top vintage addidas and my converse they look awesome with leggings too!!
